Colorado - April 2006
Took a trip out to Denver to visit Bill & Unie (Happy Birthday Unie!!) and their kids Ryan & Hanna, met up with Judy and Vicki along the way as well.
Had a blast! The ski trip on Friday got rained out so we spent the day visiting friends and then showed up at Judy and Vicki's office to steal them away for cocktails and dinner. Went to this great Italian place with Judy for dinner...can't remember the name though...it was an early night because Saturday was snowshoeing...I'm addicted...I'll be going back next year as well.
The trail was Twisted Snowshoe and it was supposed to be good for beginners....it went STRAIGHT up in some spots but it was fun and the scenery couldn't be beat!

The ski resort had a live band playing some really good tunes so after a couple hours of traipsing up and down the trails it was really nice to sit there with a beer and BOCA burger and just relax. Evidently this little girl and her Dad thought so too..
Then it was off to Bill and Unie's for her surprise party....the surprise was on me though, didn't know it was her birthday. Judy met us there and so did Bill's brother, his wife and some other friends . As always a great time, superb food and conversation.
The next day it was off to the mecca of outdoor enthusiasts....REI's home store...courtesy of my favorite tourguides...the Mathe family. Then sped to the airport for the long flight home.
